Provided administrative and support services to Members of Parliament, excluding those covered by its counterpart, Ministerial Services (part of Internal Affairs) - Ministers of the Crown, Associate Ministers, Parliamentary Under-Secretaries and ministerial support staff. Responsibilities also included travel services to Members of Parliament, administration of the Parliamentary Library, catering services (Bellamy's), building operations and maintenance, policy advice to the Parliamentary Service Commission and the Speaker, and administered the determinations of the Higher Salaries Commission as they relate to salaries and allowances payable to Members of Parliament.
