GENERAL


The Waterfront Industry Commission was a non-profit making, statutory body that was representative of the waterfront employers and waterside workers. It operated the labour pool whereby the services of waterside workers were allocated equitably between registered employers while ensuring that there was a fair allocation of jobs to those workers.
